Originally established as a protected forest during 1931-1938 under Dutch colonial government, it was designated as a wildlife sanctuary for Javan leopards in 1972 before becoming a national park in 1997. The park hosts five distinct ecosystems and is home to 325 fauna species and 500+ flora species, including endemic Raflesia padmosari flowers and Javan leopards. Join our nighttime expedition to observe four endangered turtle species laying eggs, and participate in releasing hatchlings back to the Indian Ocean.
